Application are invited for filling up of one post of Joint Director (Extension) in Directorate of Extension, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on deputation (ISTC).
One post of Joint Director (Extension) in the pay scale of Rs. 15600 – ,39100(PB 3 ) + Grade Pay of Rs.66OO/- or Level 11, Genera.l Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial is proposed to be held up in Directorate of Extension, New Delhi on deputadon basis (including Short Term Contract) from amongst the officers under Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government autonomous and State organizations or Agricultural Universities or recognized research institutions or Councils:-
Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department or
( with five years’ regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in pay band-3, Rs. 1560O-3910O/- plus grade pay of Rs. 54OO/- (I-evel 10) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
Educational Qualification required for Joint Director (Extension)
(i) Master’s degree in Agriculture or Agriculturc Extension from a recognised university or institute or Master’s degrec in Rural Management or Master of Business Administration with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from a recognised University or Institute or Master’s Degree in Agriculture Business Management or Vegetable Sciences or Horticulture or Agro-Forestry, or Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
(ii) Three years’ experience in coordination and overseeing or execution of Agricultural Extension or Extension Programme in the field of administration or Management of Agriculture or Extension Programme or teaching experience at college or university level in Agriculture or Extension Programme with special reference to training of extension personnel and farmers.
Desirables
Three years’ experience in formulation and conduct of extension training programmes.
Period Of Deputation for Joint Director (Extension)
Period Of Deputation in case of Joint Director (Extension) shall be not exceeding six vears as on the closing date for receipt of applications.
Duties attached to the post of Joint Director (Extension)
i) To assist in the formulation and implementation of agricultural extension related projects throughout the country.
ii) To review & monitor implementation status of the Agricultural Extension Schemes like Extension Reforms, Agri-Clinics & Agri-Business Centres, Agricultural Extension through Mass Media, Kisan Catl Centres, Training Programmes through National, Regional & State tevel institutions-through Review Meeting, Field Visits, Reports from Stakeholders etc.
