SVMCM Scholarship stands for Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means scholarship program aimed to assisting the meritorious students belonging to financially backward families in the State of West Bengal to pursue higher studies. The Government Of West Bengal introduces the scheme of giving scholarships a different levels of higher studies.
Scope of SVMCM Scholarship
Students at different level of higher Studies can be benefitted with this scheme.
a) Students studying in close class XI and XII in regular more.
b) Under graduate level In Science/Arts/Commerce, Engineering, Medical and Technical/ Professional courses.
c) Post Graduate level students pursuing Science/ Arts/Commerce & Technical/Management.
Please note that, these scholarships will sanctioned on merit-cum-means criteria.
d) Student pursuing M.Phil and Doctoral courses (NON- NET JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW and NET-LECTURESHIP) from state aided institutions.
e) Kanyashree (K3) applicants pursuing post graduate degree in Science/Arts/Commerce after obtaining under 45% marks in aggregate from institutions of this state.
f) 60% marks in Madhyamik for H.S. level.
g) 60% marks in Higher Secondary examination for under graduate level.
h) 60% marks in aggregate in Diploma Courses from institutions approved by AICTE and affiliate to WBSCT & VE & SD for under graduate level scholarship.
i) 53% marks in aggregate in Graduation (Honours Subject) from any state University for post graduate level scholarship.
j) 55% marks in aggregate in Graduate Courses from State University of AICTE approved Institute of West Bengal for Post Graduate level Scholarship (Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy).
The family income of the beneficiary not exceeding Rs.2,50,000/- per annum. A candidate must have obtained a savings bank account as the payment of scholarship will be paid DBT mode only I.e. Direct Beneficiary Transfer mode.
Candidates opting for these scholarships, found eligible will nor be allowed to enjoy any other Government aided Stipend as scholarship.

Candidate’s family income exceed not more than Rs. 2,50,000/- per annum will be selected academic meritwise.
Application and Sanction Procedure
Candidate for different categories will submit their applications online scholarship would be sanctioned as per the availability of fund and strictly on the basis of merit list.
