Indian post is looking for eligible candidates for the post of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) [Branch Postmaster (BPM) / Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) / Dak Sevaks ]. Applications are to be submitted online at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in
Registration for online application will be started from 03.08.2023 and will be continued till 23.08.2023. Emoluments for GDS will be in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) plus Dearness Allowance. The applicable TRCA for BPM (Branch Postmaster ) is Rs. 12,000-29,380/- and for ABPM/Dak Sevak is Rs. 10,000-24,470/-.

- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) No relaxation
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) 10 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + OBC 13 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + SC/ST 15 years
There will be no relaxation in upper age limit to EWS applicants. However, the persons belonging to EWS who are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SC< ST and OBC shall get 10% reservation in engagement to the GDS.

Job Profile
Job Profile of BPM include daily postal operations of brach Post Office and India Post Payments bank (IPPB) , Marketing and promotions of products and services being provided by the Department. In case of single handed BOs, BPMs have the overall responsibility of smooth and timely functioning of the Office including mail conveyance and mail delivery. Other details regarding job profile will be described by the Department from time to time.
The applicant selected as GDS BPM wil have to provide accommodation for branch post office after selection but before engagement at that particular village where the branch post office will be situated.
Job profile for ABPMs (assistant branch post master) include to assist BPM in postal operations,sale of stamps /stationery items, conveyance and delivery of mail at doorstep, exchange the mail with account office, deposits/payments/other transactions of IPPB. Other details regarding job profile will be described by the Department from time to time.
ABPMs are required to reside within the delivery jurisdictions of the concerned Post Office.
Dak Sevaks will be engaged in Departmental offices like Sub Post sub post offices, head post offices etc. Dak Sevaks may have to work om sorting offices of Railway Mail Services (RMS), to assist post master / sub postmasters in managing the smooth functioning of Departmental Post Offices.
Dak Sevaks are required to reside within delivery jurisdictions of the Post Office (HO/SO/BO) concerned.
